According to legend of local people passed by tradition from one generation to another, once upon a time there was a handsome and talent Hmong Man, he played Dan Moi very well, Dan moi is the musical instrument similar to the jaw harp, made of string and a piece of bamboo. Dan Moi is played against the lips. When the man played music, its sound hear like the melody of the stream, and the singing of forest birds. His playing was sometimes deep, melodious, and penetrating as the blow of the wind as it flies and flies away forever. There was a fairy in heaven named Hoa Dao, who was incredibly beautiful, whose lips looked like smiling peach blossom buds, and whose rosy cheeks resembled a ripe peach. One day, she heard Hmong man playing the Dan moi and she tried to find a way to come to the earth. She fell in love with him, then they became husband and wife and had a lovely son.
Ngoc Hoang (the Jade Emperor) saw Hoa Dao fly to the earth, which made him very angry. In his anger, he asked his heavenly court to bring her back to the heaven. She begged them to allow her to stay on earth and raise her baby son, but she was not permitted to stay. She felt sorry for her husband who would be forced to raise their son on his own. She feared for her infant son who would lack breast milk without her so she decided to leave her breasts on earth for him. Thanks to her round breasts full of milk, her son grew up to be strong and healthy. Later, her breasts turned into Twin Mountain or Fairy Mountain which is now in Tam Son, Quan Ba. According to the legend, the milk from her breasts created the cool climate, which helped people grow fruits with delicious flavors such as peaches, plums, pears, and persimmon, as well as fresh vegetables and bumper corn crops. This area became a fertile land. Her tears turned into the dreamy, blue Mien River, embracing the land behind the legendary gate.
